Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #12 - Shower the Baby
This week over at Fantabulous Cricut the challenge is to create a project that has something to do with a baby shower. Since I recently threw a baby shower for my sister in law i'm kind of baby showered out so instead of making an invitation or a favor I decided to make a card. I also didn't want to make a typical baby shower card and found this cut on Going Places cartridge. I changed the kid in this cut from a boy to a girl by welding a triangle from George and Basic Shapes to make a skirt. The background is cut from Gypsy Wanderings.
Make sure to check out all the other Fantabulous projects the DT made on the Challenge Blog (link above).

Facebook giveaway Grand Prize
I've been doing giveaways on my facebook page to try and get more fans. I hit 500 fans the other day! I did a drawing for a grand prize and then 5 winners. The grand prize was either scrapbook embellishments or handmade items and then 5 winners all won a custom card. If your not already a fan of my facebook page then become a fan today!
As you can see below, Emily, the grand prize winner, chose handmade items :) I made her a notepad, post it note booklet and a little mini box that holds 3 3x3 notecards with envelopes.
The box is from Tags Bags Boxes and more. The background design on the box is from Gypsy Wanderings and the flowers are from Storybook.
The notepad was made using Gypsy Wanderings and Stamping Solutions. I did not use any cricut on the post it note booklet or the mini notecards. The post it note booklet was made using nestabilities and a martha stewart punch. The notecards were made using a border punch.
Thanks for looking! Happy Friday!!

The Pink Elephant - First submission as a DT Member!
I am a Pink Elephant Scrap Team designer! This is my first layout for them. Let me tell ya, I am intimidated by all the great scrapbookers that are on the team. They are all soooo good!
Anyways, this weeks challenge over at The Pink Elephant was to create a scrapbook layout using this sketch. I actually decided to flip this sketch on its side.

Sour Cream Containers filled with Starbursts
More craft fair goodies! These are sour cream containers filled with starbursts. The orange popsicle is from Doodlecharms and the Cherriers are from Paisley. I used vellum which I stamped on. I like the look of the vellum that way you can see the colorful starburst through it. One $2 bag of starbursts made all of these there are about 7-8 in each one.

Skittle Sticks
Thats what I've decided to call these.. these are in clear bags that I bought online. They are 8 inches long by 1 inch wide. I have a craft fair coming up on June 5th so I will be posting lots of craft fair goodies! I got a big bag of skittles on sale for $2 at Winco and it made 20 of these. Didn't feel like using the cricut so I just stamped and used my big circle punches to punch them out.

Fantabulous Cricut Crawl!! Embossing
Welcome to Scrap~A~Doodle~Dee and the "Fantabulous Cricut Crawl"...our version of a progressive blog hop!
If you've come from visiting Brenda at Brenda's Scrappy Blog you're in the right place! If you've just happened across my blog and would like to play along with our Fantabulous Cricut Crawl, start at the beginning here.
For our Fantabulous Cricut Crawl, each of our Design Team member will be featuring a Cricut related technique. Make sure to check out each of the DT member's blogs and we are all offering a prize to anyone who uses our specific technique in the challenge!! There is also a GRAND PRIZE for the participant that incorporates the most featured techniques on ONE project! You can make more than one project.
The technique that I've chosen to feature for the crawl is... embossing on a cricut cut! I think that embossing your cricut cuts makes your cuts stand out much more. I embossed three different times for my card using my cuttlebug. I embossed the background circle which was cut from Storybook, the snail's shell which is from Sentimentals and the flowers which are from Gypsy Wanderings. After embossing I also ink them so the embossed part sticks out even more.
Prize time!! Here is what I am offering as a prize to the lucky participant who features embossing a cricut cut on their project. Make sure you enter it over at Fantabulous Cricut and also comment here letting me know you've used my technique.
Next stop...Lori's blog at Living Organized Chaos. Go see what Lori has picked as her technique/element!! When you're done, make sure to link up your project to FCCB's Fantabulous Cricut Crawl post to be entered into the contest! Try to see how many elements you can add to your project!!!
Happy Crawling! ~Candace

Vintage Disney notepads
Here are some easy notepads that I made with some of my Vintage Disney stickers that I got from Disneyworld in 2006. These were the only ones I had left. Everytime I go to Disneyland I always keep my eyes open for these but I think they are only sold at Disneyworld. :( Now its off to the internet to find more of these!!

More notepads..
Love how easy these are to make! Here is my tip for the day and I think I've said it before, when I cut an image out on my cricut I usually cut two of the exact same image and put one aside for another project another day. The skull, circle and scallop circle are from two different projects that I made back in December I think. This was so easy to slap together and make! The skull is from Indie Art, the circle and scallop circle are from storybook.
The owl is from Create a Critter along with the branch.
And since I had all my paper out.. I made a card that matched with the extra owl I cut out.
Thanks for looking! :)
