Fantabulous Cricut Crawl!! Embossing

Welcome to Scrap~A~Doodle~Dee and the "Fantabulous Cricut Crawl"...our version of a progressive blog hop!

If you've come from visiting Brenda at Brenda's Scrappy Blog you're in the right place! If you've just happened across my blog and would like to play along with our Fantabulous Cricut Crawl, start at the beginning here.

For our Fantabulous Cricut Crawl, each of our Design Team member will be featuring a Cricut related technique. Make sure to check out each of the DT member's blogs and we are all offering a prize to anyone who uses our specific technique in the challenge!! There is also a GRAND PRIZE for the participant that incorporates the most featured techniques on ONE project! You can make more than one project.

The technique that I've chosen to feature for the crawl is... embossing on a cricut cut! I think that embossing your cricut cuts makes your cuts stand out much more. I embossed three different times for my card using my cuttlebug. I embossed the background circle which was cut from Storybook, the snail's shell which is from Sentimentals and the flowers which are from Gypsy Wanderings. After embossing I also ink them so the embossed part sticks out even more.

Prize time!! Here is what I am offering as a prize to the lucky participant who features embossing a cricut cut on their project. Make sure you enter it over at Fantabulous Cricut and also comment here letting me know you've used my technique.

Next stop...Lori's blog at Living Organized Chaos. Go see what Lori has picked as her technique/element!! When you're done, make sure to link up your project to FCCB's Fantabulous Cricut Crawl post to be entered into the contest! Try to see how many elements you can add to your project!!!

Happy Crawling! ~Candace

Embossing does make a cut look better. Great tip and cute project.

Wow, Candace! I love your card. And I've never thought to emboss the layers of a cut before. I usually just do solid shapes or backgrounds. Great idea...it gives the snail shell so much more pop!

Thanks for all your work, Candace! :)

Thank you for the embossing idea of using more than one embossing design on a project.

This is beautiful! The embossing on everything, mixing it up. I had never thought of doing that. Most of the time I forget to use the embosser until glued it together. :0/ Thanks for the beautiful reminder!

This is a great idea to bring deminsion to the die cuts with embossing. Oh, took a peek down a post and your little Pinnochio Note Book is amazing.

Smiles!

I love embossing cuts - it adds so much to it. I embosed the center piece of my sun with the divine swirls cuttlebug folder then ran my SU white craft pad over it.
