Pirate - Winnie The Pooh

Here is the next page for my 8x8 Disney scrapbook. This is for Pirates of the Caribbean!

The lettering is Don Juan. The skulls and pirate ship are from Paper Doll Dress Up. The treasure chest is from Lifes a Beach. Pooh is from Pooh and Friends and I created his eye patch on my Gypsy using an oval and a rectangle. I love how his eye patch looks! I also cut the red background paper out using Gypsy wanderings.

Didn't make Neverland last night.. I started to but just wasn't feeling it. :( Maybe tonight will be better although an idea for Alice in Wonderland popped into my head earlier today at work.. ahhh the things I think about at work that aren't work related :)

Started on a "Vintage" Disney 8x8 Album

I've noticed that 8x8 disney albums have been pretty popular at my craft fairs. I got some vintage Disney stickers online and decided to make a disney album using them. So little bit of vintage, little bit of current disney :)

1st Page- I used Mickey & Friends for the film strip and the Mickey ears. "Memories" is cut from Graphically Speaking.

2nd and 3rd pages.. "Mickey Mouse" is cut from Don Juan. I was pretty pleased with the font and that it looks somewhat close to the Mickey Font since I don't have that cartridge. Mickey is cut from Mickey & Friends. Kept this one simple but I love the look of it and the colors.

4th and 5th pages.. "Adventureland", Tiki Guy (for the tiki room :) ) and leaves are cut from Lifes a beach. Alligator is cut from Create a Critter.

Check back tomorrow for more pages that I will make tonight!! :) I'm thinking "Return to Neverland" and "Pirates of the Carribean" :)

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge # 16 - Independence Day

This weeks challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut is to create a project for the 4th of July and incorporate a star. I decided to make a hostess gift for my mom. Every year we have a huge 4th of july party at my parents house.

I can't believe it but I actually only used 1 cricut cartridge for this whole project- Stand and Salute.

Close up of the card...
Close up of the candy.. its hot tamales. I used vinyl to decorate it. I actually got this jar from michaels and it was full of scrapbooking flowers. Made a perfect little treat jar!! :)

More Skittle Sticks!

Here are some more skittle sticks for my craft fair on Sunday. The paper is from CTMH. LOVE the designer paper! My favorite color combo! I made 20 of these, 10 say Thank You and 10 say Thinking of You. I got the bags online at clearbags.com. They are 1x8 inches.

The bird is from Gypsy wanderings. The circles are punches. Very quick and easy to put these together. These would make great co-worker gifts or for a friend. These could easily be customized to any theme as well.

Mini Monsters Cards

This cartridge is my new favorite. I love all the cute little monsters on it. So I made two cards from this cart.

Before this cartridge came out I got this cute monster stamp set from cleardollarstamps.com. This set has all kinds of cute monster sayings. So the other night this saying caught my eye and I knew I just had to make something with it. The saying is "I'm sorry for being a blog". I cut this guy at 3 inches and glued eyes to where his eyes should be. On my Gypsy, I welded his smile to his face so it would cut out a negative image of his smile. I think it worked really well.

Here is my second card. My friend Michelle at Scrapping with my Bug made this awesome tutorial about Peechy Keen Stamps and I knew I had to have these stamps. So I got one set to start with, Everyday Assortment in assorted sizes. LOVE IT! I hid this monsters face on my Gypsy and used my stamp instead. I also got a white pen so I can color it the eyes. I think he turned out so cute. My husband named him Lenny the Lockness Monster. This is my dads fathers day card. I can't believe out of all of the stamps I have I don't have a "Happy Fathers Day" stamp. Whats up with that??!?! So I was being lazy and didnt use my cricut but just stamped "Dad" on it.

Thanks for visiting! I have a busy weekend ahead.. tonight after work - BUNCO! Tomorrow I am getting my hair done (thank goodness!) and then going to my in-laws for father's day dinner then Sunday I'm going to my sisters to celebrate father's day on my side of the family. Don't think I'm going to get to much crafting in. Check back monday for Fantabulous Cricut challenge!!

Deer smelling flower - Give a Hoot
Other Deer - Cindy Lou
Grass - Easter Solutions & stretched out on my Gypsy

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge # 14 - Dad

This weeks challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut is to make a project for dad. I decided to make a fathers day card. This card is for my father in law who likes baseball. My hubby and I are going to get him a gift card to mlb.com. I used wild card for the wording and baseball solutions for the ball and base. I didn't like how the ball looked though (it wasnt a circle) so I decided to use storybook and my gypsy and put a circle on top of the ball so when it cut it out I would have a perfect circle for the baseball.

I left it kinda plain but I like how all the colors came together, especially the green plaid for the background.

My favorite new technique..

I just had to share my favorite new technique with you all! I got my SU square punches probably 3 or 4 months ago now and have barley used them. I decided to take them out and play with them. I had all these scraps of paper that I love but they were to small to do anything with, or so I thought. I decided to just punch lots of squares out of them and then it hit me to combine them all on to one card! So I cut a 4x4 piece of cardstock and it was perfect to fit 9 of these squares on. My other new favorite thing is 5x5 cards and since I have a Gypsy I can easily change the envelope patterns on it to make them big enough to fit a 5x5 card.

This tree is from Cindy Lou cartridge. Love this tree!! I think I'm going to make lots more cards with this tree and this style of card.

Thanks for looking and be sure to check back tomorrow for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge!

Craft Fair Results and Pictures

So I had a craft fair on Saturday.. "3rd annual Hope for Homeless" bands playing all day long in the parking lot of a coffee shop. Sounds good right? No. There was not much traffic at all! Atleast I shared my booth with a friend who does Scentsy Candles so it was fun to hang out with her and cheaper for my booth fee. I did make my booth fee back plus some but not enough to be worth it for a long hot day outside.

Anyways I have another craft fair on the 27th. I am breaking my rule for that one though.. my rule is never to do first time events unless i'm confident in their advertising. This one is a first time event and I don't know how well they are advertising. I am going to spend alittle time and do as much advertising for it as I can.

So if your in the area my next one is June 27th (sunday) In Orangevale California.

Orangevale's Art & Craft Fundraiser- raising money for breast cancer
7300 Redwing CT, Orangevale CA 95662
Art / Crafts / Music / Food / Raffle

So what did sell on Saturday.. My altoid tins are hands down my #1 seller. I sell them for $3 each or 4 for $10. My skittle sticks sold ok.. I sold about 1/2 of them. Sold some cards and some notepads and post it note booklets. Only sold 1 purse!! :( Which now that I think about it I don't think I posted pictures of the purses on here, only on facebook (if your not currently a fan become one today because I do giveaways on there!!)

I appologize for the pictures.. they aren't the best. You can see that at 10 am in the morning it was already a bright and sunny day!

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge # 13- For The Bride

This weeks challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut is to create something for the bride. You must incorporate something old, new, borrowed or blue. I decided to add blue. I made a dress shaped card for a bridal shower. I welded this dress together on my gypsy from Dreams Come True cartridge. I then decided to make the dress look more wedding-ish by cutting 1 inch strips of paper and then using my martha stewart border punch on one of the sides and then laying them. I love how this turned out. I also used clear stickles and added dots on the dress.

Here is a close up of the layering.
This card is instantly one of my favorites that I made. Can't wait to make more this style!!

Pill Boxes!

More craft fair goodies! You know those clear containers you get when you buy making memories eyelets in packs of 5 colors? These are those containers! I have a big eyelet organizer that I just dump my eyelets into and I couldn't bare to throw these away so I've just been holding on to them for years now! Anyways I finally decided to do something with them and my husband suggested that they would make nice pill boxes and they do!

For the front I cut circles on my cricut out at just under 1 1/2 inches. For the back I punched two circles from my stampin up 1 3/4 inch punch. I glued them together so printed paper is on both sides then glued it to the bottom. I then decorated the tops with stickers, chipboard, flowers, buttons and gems!

Here is a close up of one..

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they sell well on Saturday! I will let everyone know on Sunday how my craft fair went! :)
