Notepad Tutorial

I have received several messages from Ladies asking me how I do my notepads. So I decided to make my first tutorial. Yay! :)

Supplies Needed:
Paper Cutter
Bind It All
Bind It All o-wires (I use 3/4 inch)
Adhesive
Corner Rounder
Cardstock
Heavy Designer Paper (I use DCWV)
Cricut/Gypsy (optional)
50 Index Cards
Embellishments/Ribbons/Martha Stewart border punch
Scrap paper

First cut paper 5.25 x 3.5 inches. I cut 2 pages out of my designer printed paper and 2 pages out using cardstock. I like the effect of the solid cardstock lined on the inside but I also like that I am not using all of my designer paper.

After you cut your paper, glue one of the printed pages to one of the cardstock pages. Then round the corners on the right hand side. Be careful here- Make sure before you round the pages on the back that you have the paper facing the way that you want.

Then you decorate the front. I used my Gypsy to size the scallop oval, regular oval, butterfly and the outline of the butterfly.

Now its time to break out all those little scraps of paper you save but never use!! I used them to cut out the butterfly and the scallop circle on my cricut.
The next step is to punch the holes in the index cards and your cover. I always punch the holes in my index cards first because I like to use stickles on my covers and well I have to wait for that to dry! I buy packs of 100 at walmart for 44 cents but I only put 50 in each notepad.

After you have your index cards its time to cut your cover the same way you cut your index cards.

Now I bind it all together with the o-wires. First put your index cards, then your cover facing up and then your back page with the cardstock facing you. This is so when you bind it your binding is behind all the index cards and no one can really see it.
After you bind this is what it should look like with the solid cardstock on the inside.
And your cover on the outside.

And I always like to finish it with some ribbon tied to the o-wires. And Voila- a cute little notepad! :)

Thanks for reading my first tutorial! :)
